I have a couple of Excel 2003 workbooks that have a handful of 'very well presented' worksheets using extensive formatting including a variety of Cell Backcolours, Fonts, Wraps, Border Styles etc. The workbook uses a fair degree of VBA too, but this is probably irrelevant.
The workbooks were developed and used within our business on 2003 and worked fine. The business is now slowly migrating over to Office 2007, and some of my team are now using Excel 2007. When they open the workbooks in 2007 the workbooks work fine, UNTIL the user saves it back into 2003 compatible format. When they save the workbooks ALL formatting throughout the entire workbook is lost, and the worksheets are left with raw text, everything else is gone! This is REALLY frustrating.
Is this a known issue? Is there a solution? Please help me resolve,
