The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Move row range on condition

Hi,

I will try and explain this as clearly as possible. I'm using Excel 2003. Here is the picture.

- I have an excel sheet with 40 rows of data (from B3 to O42).
- The rows are divided up so that the top 20 rows (row 3 to 22) are for Potential and the lower 20 (row 23 to 42) are for Sale.
- The column B of each row has a drop down with the values Sale and Potential.
- Users enter Potentials data into the spreadsheet.
- When the Potential becomes a Sale the user changes the field in column B from Potential to Sale.

Here is the request.

I would like a method so that when the Potential becomes a Sale that row is moved to the next clear row in the lower 20 rows i.e. When B3 = "Sale", B3 - O3 is moved to B23 - O23.

I would preferably like to move the row to the next clear row in the row range 23 - 42.

Any answers involving macros and VBS will need to be in layman terms.
