Percentile Clusters in Excel

Asked by cyb22 in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Software

I have a database where I would like to Percentile Rank the data.  However, currently I have been manually sorting the data (DATA/SORT) first by the column I then cluster.  Is there a way for me to use a formula that will identify my percentile quadrants automatically?  For example, I have 164 employees and I'm looking at a score in column F (formatted as a percent to 2 decimals).  That score is what determines where the employees fall in a quadrant (Top 25% are in I, next 25% are in II, the following 25% are in III, and final 25% are in IV).  I have a rollup sheet where I COUNT how many are in each quadrant...and I'm fine with the formula there.  I just need help with the quadrant piece.  Please help.Start Free Trial
