The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Excel Workbook Locking via VBA

We are trying to create a form within an Excel spreadsheet. We have already created the print and save as buttons with Macro's and VBA, but now we want to make it so that the screen only opens the workbook in the allocated space.

I.E. if we are only using cells a1 to a14 when they open the document that is all that they see.

We would also like them to not see the toolbars or anything like that, but we understand that that may be asking a little too much. (Like how in access you create menus and forms and they jump straight to that view and people who arent computer literate arent aware that they are using a database.)

As you can see by the attachment, the screen has all of the required fields and is boxed. We only want the box area to appear every time. No scrolling just a fixed box.

I have Microsoft 2007, but most people in the organisation are using 2003, so it needs to be compatible, as often the VBA doesnt always like what i do in 2007 in 2003.

This is a difficult question for us, potentially basic for an IT expert. We are wanting to get task completed  ASAP. Hopefully this is enough to warrant a solution.
