The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution.   • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Find characters between parentheses and remove -VBA or Formula

Hi Experts

After playing around with MID, FIND et al, time to reach into bag of points to solve this one:

I have a text string in in A1 thru to Ax - x being anywhere up to 10,000 -  (with differing number of characters in each cell) which may or may not include a word in parentheses (there may actually be 2 sets of instances of this).
I want to remove both the word and the brackets, if part of what is included has the final 3 letters as "tes" in the final set of parentheses.
The amount of characters in the brackets (the part I want rid of) varies between 8 & 11 characters - if relevant.

e.g 1.
start with in A1:  qwertyuiop (hello) qwert (1004 extes)
want to finish with:  qwertyuiop (hello) qwert

eg.2
start with in A1:  qwertyuiop qwert (1008 eptes) qwert
want to finish with:  qwertyuiop qwert qwert

eg.3
start with in A1:  qwertyuiop qwert (7714 eptex) qwert
want to finish with:  qwertyuiop qwert (7714 eptex) qwert
no change here

Happy to use VBA or a Formula (although I would later include the Formula in a VBA routine). Therefore no search and replace (which I have done but takes too long).
