Data Validation using VBA

Good morning Experts,

With a list in column A which I want to use in a Data Validation dropdown I have a short macro (below) to automate the task. However I am having serious difficulty with the macro. Sometimes it works and other times not - mostly not.

Please change it so that it works consistently.
