Formula issues with hLookUp

I have a spreadsheet that takes information from from the first sheets and formates it in a certain way in the second sheet.
the codes on the first sheet is manipulted as follows. (example is 6UMAN-F)

on sheet "report 1"remove the first 2 charcaters, then match whatever is left that upto the hyphen (thiscould be from 1 to 5 characters that are left) on sheet "output" row 2, it the assigens what is to the right of the hyphen. so in this example Man should but the character F under the colum for mandarin however it does so for Maths, i have the same isssue with the english ones. These have been highlited in the spreadsheet.
