Reduce file size.

Hi Experts,

I have a large workbook that is 41mb and I am trying to reduce the file size.  Please give me some suggestion to reduce the size as it is very big.

Attached is one sheet from the workbook that is one of the largest.  I couldn't attach the whole workbook as it is too big.

Thanks

Excel often "forgets" how large the UsedRange shuld be on one or more of its worksheets, but with some simple
steps that can be cleared up.  The links below all offer useful advice:

Hi Patrick,

I found the excel diet macro very good, however because it reduces the ranges, whenever new data is added, which is everyday, the new data in not included in the ranges.

I will have a look at the solutions on ozgrid and let you know.

Cheers.

Hi Patrick,

I have just had a look at ozgrid and one of the things it says is:

Go to Insert>Name>Define  and scroll through the list to ensure no named ranges are referring to another Workbook.

I have many named ranges that refer to other workbooks.  What does that mean?  Does that really make the file bigger?  How can I fix it but still keep the ranges?

Thanks
