The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Expermenting strings SQL in Excel

Asked by billcute in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Software

This might sound crazy and I dont even think it could be possible to achieve.
Is it possible to have four diffrent strings SQL (sSQL1, sSQL2, sSQL3 and sSQL4) all in one cmdExport button and have the code output each string SQL to different worksheet of one workbook?

Currently I have four different cmdExport button code (cmdExport1, cmdExport2, cmdExport3 and cmdExport3. All the cmdExport use only one template (TempName.xlt). In the end I always have four different outfiles of TempName1.xls; TempName2.xls; TempName3.xls and TempName4.xls

TempName.xlt is predefined and each cmdExport is expected to use the (TempName.xlt) as a template for it's output (xls) file.

Under this new expermientation, there will only 1 output Excel file (.xls) with Sheet1, sheet2, sheet3 and sheet4 respectively....as described below......... eg....TempName.xls (with sheet1, sheet2, sheet3, sheet4)) .

In order words
a). cmdExport1 has sQL1 in it's code and expected to populate into TempName.xlt (Sheet1) and output name becomes ---->> TempName1.xls (Sheet1)

b). cmdExport2 has sQL2 in it's code and expected to populate into TempName.xlt (Sheet2) and output name becomes ---->> TempName2.xls (Sheet2)

c). cmdExport3 has sQL3 in it's code and expected to populate into TempName.xlt (Sheet3) and output name becomes ---->> TempName3.xls (Sheet3)

d). cmdExport4 has sQL4 in it's code and expected to populate into TempName.xlt (Sheet4) and output name becomes ---->> TempName4.xls (Sheet4)

So what I am trying to experiment is to place all the strings SQLs (sSQL1, sSQL2, sSQL3 and sSQL4) in ne cmdExport button and then use (TempName.xlt (sheetx)) but populate  each string SQL to different one Excel file (TempName.xls (sheet1, sheet2, sheet3, sheet4)) .

I am willing to provide a sample db with at least 2 cmdExport code and a template Excel form for the experimentation upon request.
