The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Excel return rows from one sheet if values on second sheet are true

Asked by luminent in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Software

Tags: Microsoft Excel 2000

I've created a workbook in excel 2000 that has three sheets. The first sheet has data with 80 columns. The second sheet has several formulas that returns 1 or 0 based on whether a condition is true in a cell on the first work sheet. The third sheet is a blank worksheet that I'd like to see values returned from sheet 1 based on formula results of 1 or 0 on sheet 2.

The intent is that the row 1 on worksheet 2 reflects the true false values in various columns based on data on row 1 of work sheet 2. How do I write the formula (either vb or just a general excel formula) so that for example if column 5 row 4 on sheet 2 has a desired value (in this case true (1) it returns the entire row 5 from sheet 1 and pastes it onto sheet 3. Please note that sheet 3 would have far less rows than sheet 1 since criteria will not be met in most instances so the rows on sheet 3 can just begin from row 2 (since row 1 will have the same headers) and then just populate down for the found rows.

Hope this is clear
