I am trying to create a master template file which would have to dispaly data from a XML file. Below sample should give you an idea of what my data would be like. So far I could set the group name. Now I don't find a way to set the BG color of the group based on the color index provided at the XML data. Is it possible at all? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello redflair,

eb_Develop ment/Web_L anguages- S tandards/X ML/Q_20919 841.html
as far as i can see there is no way to import xml style settings (i could be missing something of course)
but the xml import and linkage is just an alternative to a database so purely data related
for a likewise problem you could take a look at this workaround (using a macro to apply the formatting)
http://www.ozgrid.com/foru
except i would write my own data import routine to base the formatting on the colors found in the xml
another way of which i'm not sure if its still supported in excel 2007 is building a excel/xml style file like here

hope this helps a bit
