Hello pabilio,
You can also use COUNTIF with a wildcard, i.e.
=COUNTIF(Sheet1!F:F;"*

Hi,
I´m looking for a formula to populate column "G" in Sheet 2 that will look for a value in colum "F" in sheet 2 also, and look in Column "F" in Sheet 1 and the result will be a true when the value exists in Column "F" in sheet 1...or false if the value does not exists there.
The regular count if formula could be (In column F in Sheet 2): =COUNTIF(Sheet1!F:F;F2)>=1
My REAL PROBLEM is that is not a simple value which I need to look for....
Values in column F in Sheet 2 goes like "Final Payment Invoice 80009"
And target values in column F in Sheet 1 goes like "July 03 Invoice A80009"...
Always the numbers will be the last in each cell in columns F (sheet 1 and 2)
What I need is a formula that "read" and "look for" the five numbers at the right of the text.
I tried with COUNTIF and RIGHT....but nothing good till now.
Thank you for your help,
Roberto.
