Congrats Buddy...Bhai Jaan app toh chah gaya...mubrak hoa...badhai hoa...
You rock buddy...
Please join me in congratulating Thomas on earning the Excel Genius certificate.
Looking at some of his early questions and answers, he already knew quite a bit about Excel when he burst upon the scene. He answered 21 questions in the two week period before asking his first one--only to proclaim "UDFs! I need to work more with UDFs." That's when we knew we had someone special on our hands.
If my sleuthing is accurate, Thomas works in the heart of the Napa wine district in California for one of the most renowned producers. The town of Yountville in particular, which must have been named after one of my distant relatives, and is known for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Let's all hoist a glass in his honor. Woohoo Thomas!

Thomas,
Congratulations! The Excel Genius club keeps getting bigger, and that's awesome. The Excel zone has an
amazing assemblage of talent, and you are a big part of that.
15 months to Genius is a heck of an accomplishment, and you should be proud of that. Of course, it helps
that you were already pretty polished when you got here. I went and had a look at your first few answers
and at my first few answers, and all I can say is, I'm glad I'm a quick learner, because I had a hell of a lot
more I needed to learn than you did :)
So, look in your mailbox for the key to the Genius washroom, and the combination thumbprint reader/retina
scanner you'll need to unlock the Genius picture archives.
And don't forget, you'll have to identify your special Genius superpower (see http://www.experts-exchang

Thanks guys,
When I started posting in the Excel Zone, I knew Excel. It didn't take me long to know better. That's why I stuck around.
Let me remember:
- the only array formula I used was a {sum(if..} with stacked ifs for multiple condition sums
- I thought sumproduct was only used to multiply two ranges
- I was doing do while <>"" loops to run macros on a whole page
- I was running reverse loops by using lastrow-rowLoop on a 1 to lastRow loop
- etc. etc.
- and of course I didn't know you all.
I have been humbled by your knowledge, and enlightened by your willingness to share (OK Brad, you didn't have to share that picture).
Thanks a ton, I think I'll stick around a little longer to get a little more out of you guys.
Thomas
Thomas,
One thing I was became curious about when researching this thread--where did your screenname "nutsch" come from? It's a German family name, but you've got a French surname (though you did graduate from Germany's best business school). It's also the name of a particular kind of pressure filter--did you have one at your winery or perfume factory?
I'd be glad to substitute a better picture, though you might want to avoid the ones we took at your Genius party.
Brad
Thanks Barry, I'm glad you stuck around and I got a chance to see you zoom past,
Brad, Mr Nutsch was my stage name in a juggling duo while I was in French business school, and the only reason I had picked it was because it was a good match for my partner's s nickname. I've kept it for online purposes, but outside of him and EE, it doesn't see much use.
No German influence (I'm 100% French, half Belgian, fully American and mathematically impaired) or filtered pressure, though these would have been good guesses.
