Separating Out relevant data

Hi
I have the following data Current (Column A) and wish to display to display it as Required (Column B) i.e. anything right of the "-" but excluding any numbers.   Please see the attached file for an example.

Would anyone have a suggestion on how to do this?

Hi for format the data u can use the proper function

suppose u have INTERNATIONAL BUDDH in A1

Then in a2 use the formuala =proper(a1) which yields International Buddh

Abt separate the data i will post the answer shortly...

Hi,

U can use this formula to find the first occurence of the number in a string

use this in cell B1
=FIND(1,SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(A1,2,1),3,1),4,1),5,1),6,1),7,1),8,1),9,1),0,1))

After that u use this formula to separate the numbers from the text

use this in cell C1
=LEFT(A1,B1-1)

Use this in B1

=MIN(SEARCH({0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9},A1&"0123456789"))

Assuming the numbers are always at the end (if there are any at all) then you could try this formula in B3 to extract the data in one go.....

=PROPER(TRIM(REPLACE(LEFT(A3,LEN(A3)-LEN(LOOKUP(100^9,RIGHT(A3&1,{1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15})+0))+1),1,LOOKUP(2^15,FIND("-",A3,ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&LEN(A3))))),"")))
