Clear All Formatting When File Opened

Forgive a VBA newbie, but I am trying to find out how to have Excel 2003 remove the formatting of an entire workbook (using VBA) when the file is opened (after the user has selected to Enable Macros, of course). Any suggestions?

OK... I guess I was a bit all-encompassing in my question by saying "remove all formatting"... what would the code look like to remove only the color of a range of cells and the color of the text in those same cells?

And on a second note, is it possible, as a file is opened, to clear all cell colors and reset all font colors to default - without specifying a range?

it would be changed to.

with default font color being black

Put the first procedure (Workbook_Open) in ThisWorkbook, and put the second procedure (ClearAllFormats) in a standard code module.

Your other question, to apply that clearing of cell color and font color only to a range of cells. Use the last procedure called ClearRangeFormat once you have selected a group of cells, and it will clear only that selection.
