s stated, the one thing you have to watch is the complexity of the query. What I did was to take the complex portion and put in view on the SQL Server and then I could use date parameters on the spreadsheet.
It is possible. The may trick is to use "?" to represent the parameter in MS Query. Can set parameter name and it will prompt you when you refresh query on the worksheet.
