Thank you very much, the EOMONTH function is perfect for what I need!
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI have a spreadsheet where I have to keep the same month end date for the entire month, for example 11/30/09; however when December comes, that month end date will change to 12/31/09 for the whole month. Is there any formula or macro that will automatically do this for me, so I don't have to stop my macros and manually go in and update this date every month? I am using a formula to keep the end of the week constant in a different column, =TODAY() - WEEKDAY(TODAY(),3)+4 whereas it only changes the date once a week. If I could do the same for the month end, that would be great.

You can use EOMONTH function (it's from Analysis ToolPak add-in in Excel 2003 but built in in Excel 2007, i.e.
=EOMONTH(TODAY(),0)
or without EOMONTH
=DATE(YEAR(TODAY()) ,MONTH(TOD AY())+1,0)
