Format Selected Value Field of PivotTable - VBA

Hi experts,

I'm trying to update the context menu to format the selected value field to Accounting number format. How do I return the selected pivotfield and the selected pivottable based on the selected range, ie if I select B6, how do I know that this is pivot field Sum of Amount.

I need a VBA answer.

I got one quick question will the range will be continus like b1:b6 or it can be broken as well like b1,b3,b4.

Also if you can upload your sample file it will definately help in figuring out what you are trying to do.

Just one cell.

To do an update on format, I need to do Value Field Setting, Number Format, Accounting
I want to setup a macro that does that automatically for any pivot field in any pivot table I select.

Clearer?

Here is a file:

      Based on the position   of my cursor in the pivot table, I want to determine what value field I'm on.
      Once the value field determined, I can   change the format programatically for that value field.
In this case, I want to it on Amount, and   not on Qty, but without hardcoding the name of the field, or the name of the   pivot table.

Here is what I have so far, I loop through pivot tables and pivot fields to find an intersection. Do you have anything better, like a direct reference from the range properties?

It's easier than that - the range object has a PivotField property (see sample).
