MS Excel - Hover Functionality

I have a list of job classifications in a validation list.

they each have a classification definition that is associated

These are shown for example in "Hover Functionality" as attached

These items relate to E14 in EE Mock up as attached

I am looking at having the functionality that when a user hovers over the classification title, that the classification definition will be displayed in a pop up using hover functionality.

Is this something that can easily be developed in Excel

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Two Easy ways to achieve what you want

1) Comments

Right click on the relevant cell and click on "Insert Comments"
Type the description that you want and you are done. Next time you hover your mouse over that cell, you will see the description pop up.

2) Data Validation

Here's another one that traps the mouse hovering.

I adapted it to your hover sheet example.

Pull it up and hover over one of the 2 ranges in column A, then look at the status bar.  Hover somewhere else, etc.

Is this the kind of functionality you want?  Except in some type of popup bubble?

Note -this approach hogs resources, but if you want to take the resource "hit", it might be an approach you can proceed with.

Take this example and build it into your prime spreadsheet - first looking at the E14, then doing the vlookup, then bubbling the description.

Let me know if this is what you were looking for.
