Data Point From Chart

Hi Experts,

This is one step further of my previous question which is solved by Sir Rgonzo1971. I had attached same WB in which I select data points in chart & it will reflect in column. but data is too much that is why need to zoom the chart for selection. I had followed instruction from this link for how to Zoom Chart. I am unsuccessful to apply this. so I had attached zoom WB.

so question is
How to zoom chart to select points?
For selected points - need to specify it is High/Low & it date too.

Hi,

You do not have to complicate like this

you could use dynamic named ranges

See Example
the defined names DateRng, CloseRng, ChartRng names are used as series element in the chart
Close Serie : =SERIES(Sheet1!$B$2;EE20140411v1.xlsm!DateRng;EE20140411v1.xlsm!CloseRng;1)

1)I have 5 Types of data - Date Open High Low & Close & I need all in Chart.

2)Difficulties are i cant zoom chart to select point. Excel Chart option i had use just 3rd time in my whole life...so don't know much about it.

Like I said by the other question it is not possible to combine a stock chart with a line chart in excel

Not To combine if i open new chart with Candle Stick format in excel & do i able to pin zigzag point in that chart & it produce that point in Excel spread sheet? or by combining you mean that what we have done by selecting points it term as line chart?

Simply Wow .......only one thing ..as i know it will be achieve by formula (out put column data)i.e. row 10 for example ( High 6728.65 3/28/2014) but it will increase my file size. as i have to formula drop down till all data.So if it is handy solution then pls pls do me a favor else no problem.

Just to add button on sheet to activate Selecting mode for points from chart & deactivate Mode.
