The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Linking and authorisation with Infopath 2007 and Sharepoint 2003

Asked by MidlandR in Infopath

Tags: , ,

Hi,

I have been trying to create online forms in Sharepoint 2003 that require authorisation, whilst able to produce this the forms are not flexible in terms of design and entries can only be approved/rejected by the selected band of individuals who have been given permission such as Finance Manager and Director.

What I want to do is produce more complex forms that can have different hierarchies of authorisation with data still being stored and utilised in Sharepoint, I have Infopath 2007 and have been told that this is the answer via workflows.

I've created a new form in infopath very easily as design tools are very similar to Access but I have no idea how to link this form to our Sharepoint server and have absolutely no idea how to produce a workflow/govern authorisation.

I have tried surfing the web for begineers guides but can't really find anything at this time that can be of immediate assistance and I need to produce this forms very quiskly (can't wait for an organised training session).

Can anyone help with guidance or by pointing me in the best direction for begineer's online training material (cost is an issue too so anything free would be very beneficial).

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give me, I am using Infopath 2007 but unfortunately my employer's Sharepoint server is currently 2003.
