Input param from command line to secondary web service

I have defined a web service as a secondary data source. It executes automatically upon loading (without coding -- I set this when I created the data source). I want to set 2 of its input parameters based on values from the command line. But I can't figure out how to "catch" the web service before it is called. If I put my code in the Loading method, it is already too late - the web service has already been executed. Does anyone know how I can do this?
