I want to create a form that submits to an Access 2007 database. The main purpose for the form is to allow the user to submit request for vacation time. I wanted add the abiliity for the user to see their vacation time summary as well. This information is also stored in the same database and for which I have created a query for. I figured I would add the prebuilt query to the form as a secondary data source and that would be ran when the user request to see the data. For some reason I thought I would be able to set a filter (username()) before executing the query but I dont see where I can do that. I see it on the main source but not the secondary sources. Can someone tell me what I am missing? I am I able to do this? Do I need to add some code to perform the filtering?
