How do I choose the FROM email address in office 365 mail merge

Using Office365, we have a shared mailbox, with 3 users given full access, and SEND-AS access.  From the portal Outlook connection, and from Office 2013 Outlook client, we can see the inbox, and send mail AS the shared mailbox.

We need to do a mail merge, sending email AS the shared mailbox, and this is beginning to look like it is not possible.

Vasil, Thank you so much. I have searched for several days for this solution.  There have been instruction for building profiles to connect to Exchange on site for shared mailboxes, but Office 365 has been either not clear, or didn't work when I went through the steps.

I have to admit, I approached your write up with skepticism until the step of waiting for the credential request. That was the key to building the profile, and the instructions you added to use the credentials for the account with permissions on the shared mailbox.

Thank you so much.    A well done "How-to".
Thanks for the post. After so many unsuccessful tries to be able to send a mail-merge from a shared mailbox, we converted all the required mailboxes to a 'Regular' mailbox and assigned a license. But no more :) I can convert them back to shared and revoke the license and will still be able to do mail merges from thoses 'shared' mailboxes. This is an excellent post and will save us close to a thousand £ in an year!! Thank you
