Found a different method for you:
Type your text, then move your cursor to the right of the first letter
Click Insert, Symbol, Change choose Font: Arial Unicode MS, subset: Combining Diacriticals
Look through the symbols and click on the one that looks like a long dash. You should see "COMBINING LONG STROKE OVERLAY" in the lower left of the dialog window (character 0336). Click Insert, click Close. Your first letter should be crossed out. Move your cursor to the right of the next letter. Repeat for each letter.

Nope, not available, unless you have a font that has nothing but strikeout text installed on your PC.
A line is your only option right now.
