Tab Behavior/Setting Change When in Compatibility Mode

We have a user that is a heavy PowerPoint user.  She uses PP2007.  Whenever she puts a proposal together she saves the presentation in Compatibility Mode b/c the sales guys it goes out to are on PP2003.

In 2007, she has a slide and has one large text box.  There is text formatted to the left & further down in the box there is text formatted to the right.  She she takes images and places them beside the text so that they "flip flop" with text & description on the left picture on the right.  below that it's picture on the left, text & description on the right, so forth & so on.

Here's the problem.  When she creates this in 2007 & saves as a ppt in Compatibility Mode everything is fine  No compatibility errors are reported.  However, when this is opened in PP2003 The alignment is all messed up within the text box.  The pictures are fine and in place but the tab settings (i guess) are lost.  This causes all the text to be pushed to the right side of the text box.

I've already suggested just making individual text boxes for each picture, but they don't want to do that b/c it's not the way they've had to do it in the past.

So can anyone help me figure out why the tab settings within a text box are being lost when opening in PP2003?

Many thanks!Start Free Trial
