The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

MS Access form - Export into MS PowerPoint

Asked by usslindstrom in Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation Software, Microsoft Office Suite, Databases Miscellaneous

I'm starting to have a horrible taste in my mouth for our District Office (I work at an elementary school)...

It has come down to each of the schools in the district that we need to implement an ID Badge policy (which in itself is a very good idea) for all the employees at the school.

I've made a very nice database using Access quite some time ago, that included everyone's picture, name, position, etc.  It was EXTREMELY easy to manipulate the data (with some help from Exp Exchange) and have a very professional and nice looking badge for everyone.

BUT - this is where the bad taste for the disctrict office is coming into play.

It's a requirement that we have the badges printed by that office, not locally.  They're using a specialized Fargo printer that automatically prints front and back, then laminates the badge.

They've created a template using Powerpoint * of all programs * to print the badges.  (very weird choice of programs for an ID badge if you want my opinion).  - But that's beside the point.  Since, I've already created the access database form (and it looks outstanding) - would anybody happen to know of a way that I can bring the form, via an export or something, into powerpoint.

I'm really not looking forward to cutting and pasting every employee's picture, name, title, etc. for every slide in the powerpoint.

Sorry to sound so negative.  Our district office is making me do it.  :)

Any assistance you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.Start Free Trial
