Insert a "Pause" in WMP Playlist/WPL file

Asked by LuisNWS in Windows Media Player, Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation Software

I have about 10 .mpg video files. I have to string these together for a presentation, where the presenter will be talking after each of video plays. I need to figure out a way to insert a pause so that WMP does not continue playing the next video until prompted to do so.

I figured that I can edit the code for the .WPL (Windows Media Player Playlist) file, but I haven't found anything that would guide me on the proper syntax. Does such programming capabilities exist with WMP?

As a side note: I tried doing this in Power Point, inserting the videos, but Power Point is fuzzy about playback, especially if you do not create the document on the same computer where you'll be playing it, so I'm looking for a more "global" solution. Start Free Trial
