Excel Pivot Table Limits

What is the limit of rows in a pivot table (as defined in the pivot table wizard)?  I need one column (for months across), one data element (sum of dollars), but about a dozen rows.  The p.t. wizard seems to accept no more than 4.  Can I get more without the wizard?  Any insights welcome.
