The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Error Messages in Office 2000

I started receiving error messages about a week ago whenever I tried to access Microsoft Word.  I could open Word and type maybe 3 or 4 letters, but then I would receive the message that the application has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.  At this time I was using Office 97.  So I knew that I was going to purchase Office 2000, so I uninstalled Office 97 and installed Office 2000.  Now, however, I am receiving error messages in all Office applications.  In Word, I can still open the application and type a few letters before it closes, and in Excel I can type all that I want, but when I go to print, I receive the error message.  That is the other thing, I have completely lost my ability to print.  Whether it is online, in one of the other programs or from my e-mail, I can't print anything.  I am not sure how to attack this problem.  Any ideas that you may have will be welcome.  Thanks.
