Thanks MagnusH that was the problem.<br />
I am not sure what happened as I had not modified the toolbars but deleting that file fixed the problem.<br />

If I choose new mail message (not using word as the email editor) The standard toolbar is not shown on the message form nor is it available if I right click to add it. The only choices are formatting and custom.<br />

I have been using ths program for quite a while connected to exchange server 5.5 with no problem. I tried uninstalling outlook and reinstalling but it still is a problem.<br />

Any ideas ?
