hello
Well they are several program, like webshots, postit, mcafee, but we disable all of them before begining the install process.
What is weird, the workstation next to it has the same config, same hardware, same shitty programm starting (webshot, postit), same windows version ... and the upgrade was fine!!
Im not sure its an hardware problem (memory, hard disk), as the Blue Screen arise only when the office 2000 installation begin.. nowhere else!!
The only difference i see is at some time, the user must have install a program that had modified some system file...
But we did reinstall win98 over the existing (win98) OS, just to be sure all system files were ok (Also SFC was runned)
Also we tried to run installation from CD or Network...same
IMHO, its an office 2000 problem...

Hi lavabo,
On the initial upgrade where there any other programs running?
Did you try the upgrade after a clean reboot, just to know for sure that no thigns where still loaded somewhere?
it's quite difficult to replicate this or someone had to have been there before, hopefully someone like that drops in.
