Hi Michael
I did try in HTML editor, and, it is working fine as u've said. But, I have this problem in Microsoft WORD 2000. Is there any way in Word(thru menus) to solve this?
Thanks

Browse All TopicsHi friends,
I have the following text ONLY in my html file:
<html><body>
<P>This is a test</P>
<P><span style='mso-char-type:symbo
</body></html>
But, if I view the same in Microsoft Word it displays the following:
This is a test
tset a si sihT
The line gets REVERSED if I use the span as said above.
My issue is: Why it is happening like that? If it is an option in the Word, how can I do the same thru menu(formatting menu or any such menus available in Word 2000), and how can I turn OFF this option?
Thanks
Srik

Word views html incorrectly. It makes a brave attempt but fails - In this case you have found one of many faults with Word. It's a huge and complex piece of software, so flaws are expected).
Bin word for HTML work and use a proper HTML editor...after all people don't browse the web with word...or do they..is this the latest Word feature/bug?
I do agree that Word is a huge and complex piece of software. But, this particular thing doesnt seems to be a flaw. Because for all the text that are between "<span style='mso-char-type:symbo
I've created a working environment in Word to suit my job. Thats why I'm using Word rather than anyother HTML editor. If you find the solution, please do let me know.

Hi there,
put u're code into a HTML editor and it worked fine. Would u not consider using a HTML editor instead of word?
Michael
