At some stage with this excel file, somone has set up a link to Sheet1 A4 in an open workbook called answercom. The last time both files were open answercom resided in C:\EUDORA\Attach\

When the answercom workbook was closed this link updated itself in your current file to provide the full path name so that this file knew where to find answercom.xls

The EUDORA folder (and answercom file) were then either deleted, renamed or moved so now the link is dead. Try searching the PC for answercom.xls, you may still have the file

Its possible that answercom.xls has been renamed but finding it would be a case of trial and error.

It looks like quiz file C3 is checking that cell B6 has a corresponding answer in the missing answercom.xls A4, if true it returns 1, false it returns 0.

If thats the only linked cell in your quiz file then I wouldn't worry about finding answercom as you'll only need to find one answer elsewhere. To test if its the only linked cell, delete the cell, goto the 'Edit' menu and see if 'Links' has faded out. If the 'Links' menu is still bold you have other linked cells in quiz.xls. Hit undo to get your cell back.

To find all linked cells in the quiz file try John Walkenbachs's Pup program http://www.j-walk.com/ss/pup/pup5/index.htm

Good luck

Dave
