Hello everyone,
I have created a merged document in word which has an Access Query as its source.
The query retrieves data from a Table and from UNBOUND fields/controls of an open Access Form.
The data from the table comes out properly formatted as currency (ie: $100.23 )because the field property in the table is set to Currency.
The data coming from the open Access form comes out as a long decimal (ie: 100.236478) even though the property for both the Unbound control/field and the source query field are set to currency.
Word Help says this is because formatting for data is not preserved from source objects unless the data comes directly from a field in a table where the formatting is set.
Word also indicates that the formatting can be done using "switches" in the merged document.
Can an expert please show me how to set the switch for the field(s) in my merged document to display the data as "currency".
Many thanks in advance.

Hello Kkan,
use Word field formatting switches, e.g. if you see a
merge field such as
<<mymergefield>>
press Alt-F9 to see
{ MERGEFIELD mymergefield }
then type (say) \#",$.00" after to give you
{ MERGEFIELD mymergefield \#",$.00" }
Word Help has more info about fields and these switches
