Microsoft Excel countif???

Hello

I have an Excel spreadsheet. which contain various series of values. I find it so slow using the following formula,  pasting to the relevant columns. I need to count the number of entries.

=COUNTIF( D11:D35,"0700")

I would like to create a formua that looks for several occurances. ie "0700" "0900" "1500" and "2200"  so I can copy the formula to all the columns instead of picking the columns containing these valuse. Each column only contains occurances of each value. they are not mixed.

Any help would be appreciated please.

Can you just post the label for which you are searching in teh header of each column ?

=COUNTIF( D11:D35,D1)   Where D1 = 0700 ???

Or maybe you could have a look at Pivot Tables... They can be very usefull for this types of analyses...
