I am useing word 2002.
When I delete a paragraph it leaves a large blank space. How do I close this space up?
Don't say drag and drop.I'm fed up with doing it that way.

Maybe you can look into Format - paragraph and verify if there is some spacing before or after the pragraph. Just remove it.

I can not find anywhere to set spacing between paragraphs

Please go to format -> paragraph and check wheterh you have set some spacing before and after paragraphs. This may be the reason

Fixed it myself.
The solution was to delete "Normal.dot".  Then re-boot.
