I'm running Windows XP with Office XP installed. Up until recently everything was running smoothly. Then yesterday I installed MS Visio 2000 Enterprise Edition.
Now whenever I open Excel, Word or even Outlook, I get a box up that tries to install 'office' components. Once it's run its course I am left with the error message:
'Compile Error In Hidden Module: AutoExecNew'.
If I click 'OK' then the application opens fine and I can go about doing what I want without any problem. It's just annoying to have to see this error every time I open an Office application!!
Also, when you exit either Word, Excel or Outlook you this error:
'Compile Error In Hidden Module: AutoExit'
I've looked on Microsoft's Website and all it lists is something about Adobe Acrobat and Norton Antivirus being installed. Well firstly I have Acrobat Installed, and I have downloaded the current patch it reccomends to stop this from happening, yet I still get the same error, and the fact that I only got this problem after I installed Visio leads me to believe its nothing to do with Adobe Acrobat. Secondly, I do not have, nor have I ever, had Norton Antivirus installed. We use Sophos.
