Browse All TopicsHi, I have a question to ask. I have a worksheet as belowL:
colA colB colC
1 2
54 3
in the cell C1, I have a formula in it, which is "=sum(A1,B1)", and the value in C1 should be 3.
How I gonna write a code in VBE where I will copy the C1 (includeing the formula) and paste at the C2(the value in C2 is 57)? I know what I can do is press Ctrl+c to copy the C1 and Ctrl+v to paste it at the C2, but how can I write it in the VBA?

Hi talkingtang,
I think you want to keep the formula using relative addresses--in which case you need the second of the two alternatives shown:
Sub FormulaTest()
Range("C2").Formula = Range("C1").Formula 'This keeps the references to A1 and B1
Range("C3").FormulaR1C1 = Range("C1").FormulaR1C1 'This changes the references to A3 and B3
End Sub
Cheers!
Brad
