This looks like really good information. I am waiting for feedback from my trainer to see if she has any questions before I close this.
I did have one question myself about the first option (saving with the viewer). It looks like this would be good for a CD, for instance, but not if they wanted to present the training on the web. The movie option, I think, would be the best choice if this is their goal. Am I off base here?

If Im correct Powerpoint has the ability to add sounds etc to a presentation. and it also has the ability to set the timescale of the slide transition. based on the voice you could set the sheet transition interval. this will make you automate the presentation.
the next step you could do is save the presentation with the viewer. (I think it should be Package for CD, where you also might choose to store it in a folder)
this will include the powerpoint viewer.
another option is to export the powerpoint then to a movie or dvd
