Easier to explain as an example. I need to create a bar chart with 5 columns as follows:
Value
Column 1 100
Column 2 50
Column 3 75
Column 4 100
Column 5 500
The most important numbers i want to graphic are those in columns 1 to 4 but the chart MUST include column 5. However, when i produce my bar graph, as the number of column 5 is far greater than those in the other columns the scale (and importance) of the first 4 columns are lost.
I did hear a rumour that it is possible to split a bar down into area i.e. that column 5 can be changed to, say, the thickness of five separate bands of 100 to maintain the scale.
Is this possible, or can anybody supply an alternative solution.
Many thanks
Stuart

Hi Stuart,
You might want to look at moving the 5th bar onto a secondary axis. Double click the 5th bar, choose the "Axis" tab and select "Secondary Axis". This should give the proportion back to bars 1-5. Also you may want to look at the "Options" tab for that bar and play with the "Overlap" and "Gap Width", which may give the view you desire.
Cheers,
MalicUK.
