Dynamic link between Excell cell and word field

Hi Experts

I have an Excel spreadsheet with a long list of 'Events' (e.g. Event 43 - Country XXXX elections held on)  each with a date (DD/MM/YYYY)  that is related (eg 'B1 +267') to a Master Date Cell (B1).  Users can update all the Event dates by inputting the Master Date, thus maintaing their 'relative' chronology.

Now there are 5 or 6 MS Word documents which also contain reference to the 'Events'  (e.g.  'The government of country XXXX was returned to power on DD/MM/YYYY) (Field<< Event 43>>  ???)

I need to be able to run a Macro or whatever to update all the Event dates in the each of the Word documents to reflect the corresponding dates in the spreadsheet once the user has set the Master Date cell.
