Software (Microsoft Office and iTunes) "reinstall" everytime I run them

Hello,
I have a problem on my Vista PC.
Everytime I start iTunes, a window pops up saying: "Please wait a moment. Windows is configuring iTunes". It's like the installation window you get after double-clicking an installer, but before getting to the real installer.
The same applies to all of the Office 2007 applications, only after the above I also get the Office installation window which does things. It's quite irritating, because it delays iTunes startup to about a minute and i.e.e Word to almost 3 full minutes.
I've deleted and reïnstalled iTunes, and tried a repair install for Office, but neither helped.
Another strange but maybe unrelated thing is that when iTunes is started, the window is completely black save for the minimize, full screen and close buttons. After I've switched to full screen/windowed mode with the second button the interface is normal again.
Does anybody have an idea for what I could do?Start Free Trial
