The solution was to correct the mapping (including password) of a mapped network drive. &nbsp;Note: there was no error condition &quot;unable to connect to networked drive&quot; on boot up (in this case) normally seen with a similiar condition. &nbsp;Thanks!<br />

With Word or Excel open<br />

Select File, Open<br />
Look In: drop down menu showing &quot;My Documents&quot; etc.<br />
Hit the drop down menu arrow<br />
Getting the drop down file menu tree is very slow (20 seconds or more) to finally open. &nbsp;It will even say &quot;not responding&quot; after the Open then it goes away and the drop down then works.<br />
<br />
Once it has opened (menu dropped down) all seems fine.<br />

Hit the drop down menu arrow
Getting the drop down file menu tree is very slow (20 seconds or more) to finally open.  It will even say "not responding" after the Open then it goes away and the drop down then works.

Once it has opened (menu dropped down) all seems fine.
