The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Goldmine to Outlook...grrrr

I have a customer who currently uses Goldmine 6.7 (GM) as a CRM and wants to transfer all contacts to Outlook 2007(MO-07).  I have run into countless issues and will try to describe a few. I exported GM data into both .xls files and .dbf files. MO-07 does not like these files...in some of the fields data was dropped completely in the transfer and in other MO-07 decided it only need half the data in the column and would get rid of the rest. In other cases it dropped information in a column completely and added info from another column, yes all by itself. So...I've manipulated the data somewhat, dividing columns before the transfer to ensure that all the data gets there somehow. The only thing I can figure is that GM builds its database differently and applies different rules to fields, and MO-07 because it doesn't recognize certain rules or data types applies what it thinks should happen as a rule for the data. So....taking a step backward, I installed MO-03 and tried the GM transfer that way, still no luck-but more data did come in. Does anyone have any insight on this issue, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Let me know if more details are needed, it's one of those things where I don't know where to start in explaining the problems because there are so many.
Is there any way I can construct an Outlook DB from scratch? Thanks ya'll!Start Free Trial
