I bought Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 retail version after my trial version expired. After over a dozen attempts, the retail version will not install. Instead, after about 8 or 9 green bars appear (which usually takes no less that 3-4 minutes to appear),<img src="

http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh273/davhere/office2.jpg I have a Dell Dimension 4700 running Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 2. The trail version worked just fine when i had it. I tried uninstalling the trial version before I tried installing the retail version. When the "Add or Remove Programs" tool didn't work, I installed Revo Uninstaller to completely remove all traces of the trial version. I then re-loaded the CD-ROM of the retail version and I keep getting the exact same error message, and the installation quits. Out of frustration, I tried to re-install the trial version again, but even that won't install now (same "...encountered an error..." message when I tried to re-install the trial version).
