Outlook is not showing Chinese characters properly in the Subject field

I have a user that send and recieves emails with Chinese characters.  The characters show at question marks in the Subject field, but display fine in the body.  We first tried Office XP.  When that didn't work we upgraded Office 2003.  We had the same result.  I have read that Outlook 2003 cannot display the characters in the subject field, but I use Outlook 2003 and am able to see Chinese characters in the subject just fine.  Anyone have any idea what the problem is?

The only difference I see with my Outlook and the other user's is I'm running Office Pro and she's running Office Standard.

Thanks.

Make sure you have the latest updates for your PC and the latest Office SP installed:

Yes, I tried that too.
Might also want to check and see if it works properly in Safe Mode:
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /safe

If it seems to be profile related would also see if the following Command Line Switches help:
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanprofile
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanviews     (Note: All custom views will be lost)

For more Office 2003 Command Line switches that may help:

Cool.  I'll try that now.  So you don't think it has anything to do with Standard vs Pro?
Shouldnt be as the difference between Std and Pro are not seen in applications but as additional applications that are included in the Office Suite.

Office Standard Edition 2003 Contains
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Outlook
- Word

Office Professional Edition 2003 Contains
- Access
- Outlook
- Word
- PowerPoint
- Publisher
- Outlook with Business Contact Manager
- Excel

Any more suggestions?

Note:  I don't speak or read any Chinese.

Apache,

My comment above that says "When I copy this ,f!"  The ",f!" was actually some Chinese characters I copied into the comment.  They didn't display properly in the post, go figure.
