The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Portuguese Translations in Word 2003 with proofing tools installed

Hi,

So we have a strange issue. One of our users machines crashed and had to be reloaded. She is the translator for our company. She translates documents from English to Portuguese and were having issues making it work like it did before her machine died.

I called Microsoft support and they can't help me so I hope someone on here can.

The problem is that when she is trying to type words in Portuguese that has a grammer mark over the letter (for example the á in Rápido) all she would have to type was 'a and word would auto correct the letter to á.

I have tryed to make the entry into the Word auto correct options and I can make it so word auto corrects 'a to á but the space bar must be pushed. before the system crash she would not have to use the space bar in the middle of words to get the letter to show up right. Like I said before microsfot was no help at all and our IT department has spent hours trying to solve this issue and figure out how she had it set up before but no one can seem to find the answer to that.

She is a stubborn user and she wont let up untill we get this fixed because right now if she has to space and then backspace every time she wants to make one of these letters it takes her 5 times longer to translate a document.

If someone knows how to fix this we would be very grateful because we our out of ideas.Start Free Trial
