Dell is sending me a new computer to replace one that is a year old and has all kinds of problems.
One happened this evening. After finishing two hours of work on the chapter of a book due to the publisher in two days, Word froze.
Word is set to back up every vive minutes but is NOT doing that.
I have found a tmp file that appears to be associated with the Word doc I was working on. I have followed the procedure of doing File -> Open, selecting the tmp, and doing Open and Repair ... but all I get is a garble.
Can someone PLEASE save me from having to redo all this work.
