Browse All TopicsI have recently restored my system to a previous version and am reinstalling software. I have the original Office 2003 professional CD and jacket with product key, etc. but when I try to install it doesn't recognize the product key. There was a trial version loaded on the pc when I bought it, but I'm trying to load a purchased full version. Any guesses as to why the product key will not be accepted?

There are different versions of the Microsoft Office Professional 2003 CD which serve different purposes. There is an OEM version (installed by manufacturers), a Volume License Key (VLK) version, and a retail version of the CD. If you bought a key for the pre-installed trial version that was on your new PC, you will need to obtain a copy of the OEM installation CD.
